Oh My Sweet Carolina
The hair makes it "alt" country. It's hump day and now we have the second installment of music videos I find on YouTube that I like. This week, Ryan Adams, singing "Oh My Sweet Carolina" entirely solo. After I first heard the lyric, "I miss Kentucky/And I miss my family/ Oh the sweetest winds they blow across the South" on the "Heatbreaker" CD, I started looking online for lake front land on the Cumberland Plateau. But the women I love, love the east coast - from Stonington CT, to Sea Isle City, NJ.
I also recommend "Cold Roses" from his Austin City Limits performace, "Come Pick Me Up" from David Letterman - and perhaps most intriguing of all - a song called "Sylvia Plath" - which sums up pretty much what I want in life.
