Off Portugal's Coast:Sinking Abortionists
A ship that travels to European countries with strict abortion laws, and
helps obtain abortions for women in those countries is being blocked by
Portugal. Portugal is even threatening to sink the vessel if it
persists. Read about it here.
Hat tip to Paul Cella
On a long, self-indulgent personal note: Even though it is in many ways
a very impressive operation, I have never been a big fan of Red State.
Several stock complaints: they are too joined to the hip of the GOP to
be “mere conservatives”, they have no hesitation in denouncing
traditionalists as dead weight to the “movement”, their contributors
are way too quick on their trigger finger -etc. Before he
co-founded RedState I had been a regular at Ben Domench’s blog.
He and I got into some arguments and he said I was
promoting an ideology of “white-washed graves” or some such.
Disagreement about war does this. I found out that he formerly was an
intern for Kara Hopkins when she was at Human Events. I had an idea
about sneaking into the Congressional office in which he works and
playing the song “Boxing”
on a keyboard just outside the door as a nice gesture. It’s one of his
favorite songs, and one of the few I can play on the piano.
Just discovered on Paul Cella's blog that this news is actually old
enough to be from last year. Three cheers for Portugal anyway.
