Notes Over Labor Day
![]()
Blithewood ManorMarissa and I spent a lovely Friday afternoon at Bard College - a school in which I had an inglorious run for two years before leaving. We had however fallen in love with Blithewood Manor- the house that appears here. What you cannot see is the astonishing view of the Hudon river or the incredible "wild" garden nearby. We drank wine, ate sanwiches and bathed in the sun - and I read aloud stories by William Saroyan like "The Great Leapfrog Contest". Beat that. You can't.
Speaking of reading - as you can see I added my reading list to the site again. William Saroyan makes his appearance - along with four books I'll be reviewing shortly. Poker Nation by Andy Bellin will be an SwD exclusive and the others are finding homes as we speak. More substantial posts are forthcoming - labor day weekend is a slow season even for bloggers.

Oh I don't know. How about this?: As I walked in the rainstorm, I had the pleasure of watching my little ones march through the mud puddles singing rain songs and dancing with their umbrellas.
